La Strada International

The International La Strada Association is a leading European NGO-network working to ensure a world without trafficking in human beings by promoting respect for human rights. The network comprises eight independent member organisations that operate from a grass-roots level and implement activities for advocacy, prevention and social support for trafficked persons and at-risk groups in order to empower them to exercise their rights.

Suzanne Hoff, is the International Coordinator of La Strada International.  Suzanne monitors and coordinates La Strada International's network activities and is responsible for the development of counter trafficking  strategies and policies, advocacy and representation.

Her work on the DemandAT project focuses on the international debate around the issue of demand related with human trafficking. She is currently mainly responsible for consultation within the consortium and review of research done and for dissemination of the research results, in particular via international stakeholders meetings and through the LSI newsletter and social media. 

Marieke van Doorninck

Former team member

Marieke van Doorninck is the Advisor Public Affairs of La Strada International. Marieke advises the organisation and its members on matters related to European policies, measures and developments related to  human trafficking and related fields including human rights, (irregular) migration and sex work and advocacy strategies related to this. Her work on the DemandAT project focuses on the international debate on demand for commercial sexual exploitation and labour exploitation and will also take part in the dissemination of the research results at international stakeholders meetings and through the LSI newsletter and social media. 

Marieke worked on DemandAT until June 2015.
